Abigail Young and Nick Lauener

Violinist Abigail Young and pianist Nick Lauener started collaborating in the summer of 2018, while both studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Together they perform a wide variety of repertoire, but are especially interested in exploring both contemporary music and classical repertoire with folk influences. Abigail and Nick have performed throughout Scotland and the UK; Abigail frequently performs with the BBC SSO, RSNO and Scottish Ballet, while Nick has performed in the Edinburgh International Festival, Cottiers Chamber Festival, and has played concertos with the Kelvin Ensemble and Edinburgh University Symphony Orchestra. They are excited to be working with Live Music Now Scotland to share their music with a diverse range of audiences.
