Austin Miller
Glasgow-based classical guitarist Austin Miller looks to take the instrument to new environments and audiences. Whilst a talented solo classical guitarist, Austin is also a songwriter and continues to look for new ways of combining his classical training and his songwriting to merge both classical and popular genres with his music and performance styles.
Austin is a versatile guitarist with a wide range of repertoire including classical guitar music, popular covers and original songs. His unique blend of repertoire from classical music through to traditional folk, jazz and pop/rock, are all brought together by the sounds and tambour of the classical guitar. Austin is eager to bring the immersive experience of pop and rock concerts to his solo guitar performances.
Some career highlights include performing at Websters Theatre, Edinburgh Society of Musicians, the Big Guitar Weekend at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Classical Guitar Retreat, Stoller Hall in Manchester, Royal Northern College of Music, Glasgow City Chambers, The Spire Concert Series, Giffnock South Concert Series, King Tuts Wah Wah Hut and Oran Mor.
