Catriona Mackenzie

Catriona Mackenzie is a pianist from the Highlands of Scotland. Recent engagements include recitals across the UK, Germany, Lithuania, and Italy including King’s Place, The Elgar Room, St John’s Smith Square, The Usher Hall, and St Giles’ Cathedral as well several concerto performances across Scotland. A sought-after chamber musician and song pianist, Catriona is a prize-winner of numerous competitions and a 2025 Leeds Song Young Artist. Catriona is delighted to join Live Music Now Scotland as a solo pianist to continue sharing her favourite music with a variety of audiences.

Catriona graduated with distinction from the Royal Academy of Music, London, where she studied with Anna Tilbrook and Malcolm Martineau and was awarded an additional diploma for an outstanding final recital. She was financially supported by the Royal Academy of Music, The Duncraig Educational Trust, The Sir James Caird Scholarship, The Cross Trust, and The Dewar Awards. Previously, she studied with James Willshire at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and St Mary’s Music School, as well as privately with Gintaras Janusevicius. She is currently a scholarship student on the Artist Diploma course at RCS studying with Jayson Gillham and Nicholas Ashton.
