Florence Bunday and Edward Scully
Soprano, Florence Bunday and pianist, Edward Scully met at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) during their first year. They became good friends when they worked together for Edward’s mid-year exam. From there, they began working and collaborating together for formal exams and recitals at the RCS, as well as competitions and various concerts around Glasgow. Both passionate about using music as a medium to tell stories, they enjoy performing pieces that explore and combine folk and classical traditions. This style of music is so beautiful and characterful, and the stories span themes we can all relate to, whether about love or loss or the wonders of the world we live in. Florence and Edward truly believe these pieces have something for everybody.
Outside of their ensemble, the pair have had other exciting opportunities with Florence appearing on BBC Scotland’s Reflections at the Quay and Christmas Celebration with the RCS Chamber Choir and Edward being playing at Wigmore Hall for two consecutive years for the Irish Heritage Bursary Auditions. Florence was also honoured to perform in a concert at Drumlanrig Castle following an intensive week with mezzo-soprano, Karen Cargill.
The duo began working with Live Music Now Scotland in March 2026. Both are passionate about sharing and making music more accessible for everyone and are very excited to work towards this goal with LMNS.
