Niamh Corkey

Niamh Corkey is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the Kingdom of Fife, now based in Glasgow. Raised by a family of keen folk musicians, she has since woven her Scottish and Irish traditional roots with the passions for jazz, country and classical music that she has discovered along the way.

Since moving to Glasgow in 2024, Niamh has been lucky enough to share her songs with audiences from London to the Outer Hebrides. Some performance highlights include a UK tour supporting folk singer Siobhan Miller, as well as festival slots at Celtic Connections, Eden Festival, Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, Aberdeen Jazz Festival, Under Canvas Inverness, and performing on stages like the Usher Hall and the Old Fruitmarket.

Her new record ‘I’ll Meet You More Than Halfway There’ (March 2026) was supported by Help Musicians’ ‘Next Level’ Award, and the lead single ‘Heaven’s Side’ has already been championed by Jamie Cullum on BBC Radio 2’s Jazz Show, which coincided with Niamh being named a ‘Rising Star’ finalist in this years Scottish Jazz Awards.

With a passion for collaboration, and the harmony skills earned from years of family folk sessions, Niamh is also immersed in Scotland’s vibrant music scene as a backing vocalist for Michael McGovern, The Black Denims, Siobhan Miller, Adam Thom, Michael Cassidy, Scott C. Park, Shorthouse, and Jack Calum Richardson.

As well as her original songs, Niamh loves to sing a huge variety of music (usually self-accompanied on acoustic guitar): Scottish and Irish traditional folk songs, jazz standards, or selections from her favourite songwriters: Paul McCartney, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and many more.

Niamh joined LMNS in 2026 and is very excited to bring music to new spaces and new people, and to form more connections through song!
