Open Day 24/25

Open Day 2024

Tuesday 22nd October, 10am – 4pm, Scottish Music Centre in Glasgow

Free attendance

Led by Live Music Now Scotland musicians Matthew Shiel, Ines Mayhew-Begg and Pathways musician David Nicholson, come along to our Open Day and hear all about LMNS!

On 22nd October Live Music Now Scotland is holding an Open Day at the Scottish Music Centre in Glasgow. The day is ideal for musicians considering auditioning for LMNS in the coming years and it’s a great opportunity to:

  • Meet and speak with LMNS staff
  • Meet LMNS musicians and find out more about what we offer and the type of work we do
  • Hear about our Pathways Programme for musicians with disabilities
  • Find out how you can best prepare for future LMNS auditions.

Musicians don’t need to bring their instruments but will benefit more if they do!

The event is free to attend. We have space for 30 musicians, either as groups or individuals, which will be filled on a first come first served basis, please email our General Manager lesleyann.smith@livemusicnow.scot to secure your spot.

Making a Difference...

How LMNS is providing music and opportunities for people across Scotland.

As part of a Creative Scotland Youth Music Initiative, LMNS worked with five local authorities to reach over 1,000 children and young people across Scotland.

Live Music Now Scotland celebrates its 40th Anniversary in 2024/25. “We wanted to celebrate in areas across Scotland, in settings which mean so much to us. These places are where the impact happens", says LMNS Director Carol Main.

A collaboration between Live Music Now Scotland and PRISMA resulted in a Mexico residency for LMNS traditional fiddler Roo Geddes.

We'd Love to Hear from You!

We are always happy to discuss new projects, opportunities or ways that we can help make music happen in your venue or community.
