Live Music Now International Conference

It was a great privilege and honour for Live Music Now Scotland to host the LMN International Conference in Edinburgh over 1 – 3 November on behalf of LMN in the UK.  We were bowled over by the fantastic speakers who inspired and encouraged us in everything we do in sharing the joy of live music with those in our communities who otherwise can’t access its transforming benefits, no matter where in the world we are carrying out activity.

Countries delegates came from included Armenia, Austria, Germany, Lithuania, Netherlands, Switzerland and all four nations of the UK.  Our LMNS artists did us proud, from the folk music for the opening reception to classical harp at the conference Scottish-themed dinner, along with our Pathways presentation at Stockbridge Church.

As well as coming to the end of the few days with our minds reeling from all the stimulation of the conference sessions, we also came away having shared best practice and insights, all while making and renewing friendships with our international colleagues, united by the same vision in making music accessible for all.
