Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Live Music Now Scotland!

Before you get started, please ensure that you have all the required information to hand. This includes:

LEAD CONTACT – the person we contact about your application

  • Name, email address and contact telephone number
  • ABOUT THE ARTIST/ENSEMBLE

  • Name of your Artist/Ensemble
  • 100-word short introduction about your group, your answer to the question ‘Why do you want to join Live Music Now Scotland? What do you/your group hope to gain from the experience?’
  • Web links to your website and/or social media pages (not compulsory but very helpful for us)
  • A link to a short video (under 5 minutes) of you/your group performing a piece that best represents your musical identity.
  • Information describing your music and what type of repertoire you love to perform.
  • A one-hour repertoire list.
  • Information about how long your group has been performing together including any details of awards, recognition or performance highlights you would like to share with us.
  • INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS

    • For each member, including the Lead Contact, you will need to provide their full name, instrumentation, date of birth, information about their musical education and experience of providing training or workshops.

    ACCESS REQUIREMENTS

  • Please let us know of any access requirements you may have.
  • AUTHORISATION

  • Please ensure you have authorisation to apply on behalf of the artist/ensemble and that all members are eligible to apply for LMNS and work in the UK.

    APPLICATIONS WILL CLOSE ON 27 OCTOBER 2023.

    Please be aware that this year’s audition procedure is now divided into two stages, as described on the Auditioning for LMNS website. For more details, click here.

    If your application is successful, auditions will take place on 17 and 19 January 2024.

    If you are accepted onto the Live Music Now Scotland Scheme, you will be asked to attend two compulsory training sessions on 19 and 20 February 2024.
