Apply to LMNS

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Live Music Now Scotland!

Before you get started, please ensure that you have all the required information to hand. This includes:

  • Lead Contact – name, email and contact phone number
  • Artist/Ensemble – name of artist/ensemble, performance experience, repertoire list, web links and video/audio links.
  • Individual Members – for each member you will need to provide their full name, instrumentation, date of birth, information about their musical education and experience of providing training or workshops.
  • References – you will need to upload a relevant written reference for the artist/ensemble as a group, as well as a reference for each individual member.
    These should be uploaded as PDF documents.
  • Authorisation – you should ensure that you are authorised to apply on behalf of the artist/ensemble – and that all members are eligible to apply for LMNS and work in the UK.

You will also need to submit an audition fee of £25 per person. If you are unable to do this for any reason, please continue with your application and contact us directly about alternative payments or financial support.

APPLICATIONS WILL CLOSE ON 3RD OCTOBER 2022. If your application is successful, auditions will take place on 22nd and 23rd November 2022. If you are accepted onto the Live Music Now Scotland Scheme, you will be asked to attend two compulsory training sessions on 25 and 26 January 2023.

Let us know about your experience as an artist/ensemble. You can add experiences and references for each individual member in the next step.

Please provide details of how long your group has been performing together. Please give any details of awards, recognition or performance highlights you would like to share with us.

Please upload a written reference from someone who is familiar with your work as an artist or ensemble and who supports you joining the LMNS scheme.

Provide a brief outline of the music education background of this member including any awards, scholarships or recognition they have received. This can be presented in bullet points if preferred.

Does this member have any experience of teaching, delivering workshops or other related activities? This could be in a music or non-music setting.
