Developing Talent

We work with some of the best emerging and exciting musicians currently performing in Scotland. Our commitment to developing and supporting artists at an early stage of their career enables us to create extraordinary musical performances - whilst providing invaluable skills and experiences.
Led by LMNS musicians accordionist Neil Sutcliffe and violinist Penny James, Live Music Now Scotland had its first Open Day in Glasgow on 16th October 2023.
LMNS develops the potential of talented musicians at the start of their careers, helping enable them to build their professional practice and personal life in Scotland. We provide emerging musicians with paid performance opportunities, training, personal and professional development support.
Every musician on the scheme has the opportunity to attend a range of structured training sessions to support their professional development in not only their work with LMNS, but helping to make them more employable musicians in the wider sector.
As part and parcel of their involvement with Live Music Now Scotland, musicians are offered a range of professional development opportunities, such as mentoring and input from professionals in the field to guide their development as artists.
