About Us

Making a Difference

Live Music Now Scotland's mission is to bring high-quality live music to people throughout Scotland, particularly those who would otherwise not have access to its transforming benefits and ability to effect societal change.
Live Music Now was founded by legendary violinist Yehudi Menuhin in 1977, along with his close friend and philanthropist, Sir Ian Stoutzker.
Funding is essential to make this happen and may come from a variety of sources, including individual giving, charitable trusts, grants, public funding and earned income.
Find opportunities to join the LMNS team and work to make live music happen.

Making a Difference...

How LMNS is providing music and opportunities for people across Scotland.

A collaboration between Live Music Now Scotland and PRISMA resulted in a Mexico residency for LMNS traditional fiddler Roo Geddes.

I really wanted the piece to be interactive. I wanted the audience and the performers to enjoy it, and to give them something to take away.

This summer Live Music Now Scotland was delighted to announce the next stage in an ongoing collaboration with Skye Chamber Music: a residency for LMNS musician Sophie Rocks.

In support of #ClassicalCOP26 we feature our range of sustainable focused projects.
