Clark-Michie Duo

The Clark-Michie Flute and Harp Duo are an exciting and innovative ensemble of emerging musicians currently in their first year of postgraduate study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Royal College of Music in London. Formed in 2016 in their first year of undergrad at RCS, they present new and varied programs consisting of original repertoire as well as their own arrangements. Their diverse repertoire ranges from Baroque to Contemporary and the group call upon their own Scottish heritage in a range of Celtic traditional music.

In the summer of 2019, the duo participated in an exciting adventure to the Isle of Coll with the Tunnell Trust. Here they worked intensively for 10 days in a remote setting with varied and established tutors. This opportunity truly allowed the ensemble to grow and flourish, giving them the platform to perform at a high standard.

The Duo have a keen interest in the outreach of music in the community and regularly work together to present programs at non-traditional venues such as hospitals and charity events. They were delighted to join the Live Music Now Scotland Scheme in 2020 - where they are keen to expand the repertoire for this exciting and cohesive partnership of instruments in all venues for all audiences.
