Dani Silver

Dani is a freelance multi-instrumentalist, composer and educator based in Glasgow, Scotland. His repertoire ranges from old melodies from the oral traditions of Scotland, Scandinavia, and Spain to new and originally composed material. Following his passion for folk music from the North Atlantic Arc, he moved to Scotland to fully dive into the world of the fiddle and the dance. Soon he started working as a fiddle and piano teacher with the Village School of Music, and in February 2024 he joined Live Music Now Scotland.

He has performed internationally as a solo artist in the UK, North America, and Spain in festivals like Celtic Connections, in Glasgow and Musical Summers Malaga among others. Earlier this year, Daniel released a highly acclaimed album as part of the Far Flung Collective, “To a Sea Cliff” including two of his original compositions. He recently finished writing the soundtrack for a film documentary currently in post-production named “The Mountain in Us” which will be premiered later in the year.

“The power of music should never be underestimated. I am very excited to be part of Live Music Now Scotland because having access to high-quality music can open doors for individuals which perhaps may not open in any other way.”
